Ardara By Road

From Belfast, our experience points towards taking the A6 to Dungiven, Derry, onto Letterkenny and then in Letterkenny, take the R250 towards Fintown and Glenties.

From City of Derry Airport, take the A2 towards Derry and then follow the signs for Letterkenny. When you get to Letterkenny, take the R250 towards Fintown and Glenties. When you get to Glenties, follow the sign for the N56 towards Ardara. It is a 1 1/2 hour drive from the airport to Ardara.

From Dublin, the quickest route in our experience is to go via Navan, Cavan, Enniskillen, Pettigoe, bypass Donegal town, taking the N56 towards Killybegs which then arrives in Ardara. About 15 minutes past Donegal town, as an alternative to continuing on the N56 towards Killybegs, there is a signpost for Ardara which takes you on a quicker, though much bumpier, road.
